My Hawaiian Shenanigans.
The map shown above is a map of the Island of Oahu in the state of Hawaii. It showcases different attractions found in the island from the popular, to the unknown. Most of the sites that I marked on the map are only the sites that I was able to visit in the 4 nights and 5 days that I was present in the island.

Neogeography mainly refers to the user generated maps, meaning anyone can do go to a certain website and make their own map. The question becomes, is this good or a bad thing? We will find that it is good and at the same time bad.
The weakness that can be found in Google's Mymaps is the open access to the public. Mymaps neglects to filter the information that is being posted on the site. Though it is true that this democratizes map-making, it also allows users who are looking to fool around to mess with the system without citing or any authenticity check. For example, a person can annotate the Leaning Tower of Pisa on a map by calling it a cat and posting pictures of cats, of course we know this is not true. We will find that we run into pit falls which include, not having authentic data and find many people who do not understand or just outright using Cartography incorrectly.
But on a positive note it allows map makers to collect data that may have been previously been overlooked. Understanding that structures are raised and demolished, it allows the changes to be made on the map with the help of normal citizens. This allows them to micromanage maps altogether without cartographers doing so. All they need to do now is to verify such information.
